The National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS)

NMIS is a group of industry-led manufacturing research and development facilities.

Its network of partners stretches across Scotland and by bringing them together it is helping boost the manufacturing community. NMIS is at the heart of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland – where industry, academia and the public sector work together on ground-breaking manufacturing research.

Its role in COREF is to support WP2.1 (Augmented Human) & WP2.2(AR/VR) to research technologies which improve productivity on the shop floor using augmented reality (AR) and immersive applications for manufacturing through use of virtual reality (VR).
